Jens Peder Ulfkjaer was member of the Group of Risk and Safety at ETH from 2004 to 2006.
Curriculum Vitae
Jens Peder Ulfkjaer was born in Ringkøbing in Denmark in 1963. He got his master in Building Construction in 1988 at Aalborg University in Denmark and his Ph.D. on fracture of materials in 1992 at the same University. He has been working with fracture of quasi-brittle materials, and in particular with fracture of ultra high strength concrete at low medium and very high strain rates. He has also been involved in many test activities both static and dynamic, developing software for data analyzing and doing finite element analysis.
Research
I am involved in the MERCI project which aims to develop a generic decision theoretical framework for the consistent quantitative and rational management of earthquake risks.
